When we buy goods through the Net, we often find that apparently attractive deals in fact provide illusory savings. It's the "hidden charges" that do it.

You know:
• Shipping charges
• Extra per item delivery charges
• Extra order fulfilment charges
• Charges for Sales Tax
• Added fees for split orders
  
  Of course this is nothing new.
  Goods sold by direct mail have always carried these sorts of costs, but they are easier to spot in a print ad or mailer than on web pages. There the "extras" may be concealed until the very end of the purchasing process (after you've entered all the personal delivery and credit information) and in some cases it is impossible to get a total until you have submitted the order.
  At that point the hapless customer is faced with accepting the extras or canceling and wasting valuable time.
  
  For a long time we have voted against these "marketing tactics" by not ordering from organizations who hide elements of their pricing.
  
  So when we started selling through the Web in 1995 we vowed to avoid these "bait and switch" tactics and created a pricing structure with no hidden extras.
  
• Free Shipping
  We INCLUDE FREE DELIVERY in all our published prices and discounts (even international).
  We have only one extra charge - $4.95 on small orders under $50 in the USA or $5.95 on orders under $50 internationally (and even then we only round up the total to $50 if your order is between $45.05 and $50).
  The high cost of airmail delivery to Canada does oblige us to add 10% to all Canadian orders.
  Our Shopping Cart system computes this at every stage of the order process.
• No Sales Tax
  We NEVER charge U.S. Sales Tax (even in Arizona, where we are based, we pay the Sales Tax for you).
• Split Orders
  We ship split orders at no extra charge when this is necessary to get the order to you on a timely basis. So if part of your order is not available or not yet published, we backorder that part and deliver the books one by one if necessary.
  
  Please do not be misled by the ever more unbelievable claims of larger and larger discounts made by our competitors.
  Calculate every order to the total delivered order price from a number of sellers, and go with the one offering the best combination of price and service.

"Come Back Soon" Discount
"Come Back Soon" discounts give you an extra 5% off the total amount of any new order you place within 30 days of your most recent purchase from us. Details are on the invoice/receipt we send to you with your books.

Your Security

Open Returns
You can return any unsatisfactory book to us within 14 days for a 90% refund excluding shipping (just as long as you haven't opened any diskette or CD bound in the book and excepting only those items where we clearly show them to be non-returnable). You do NOT need to call for some special Return Authorization. Just send the book with a copy of the invoice saying you don't want it - you'll wish everybody made it that simple.

Shipping Honesty
Please review our honest shipping information on our Delivery and Payment page Others will claim ever faster shipping capability. In truth, we are all in the hands of UPS/Fedex/Airborne and rely on their service levels. We will do our very best to meet your requirements at our delivery-inclusive prices.

Everyone makes an occasional billing error, but we correct them immediately and without question.
