Ordinary lighting cables can fail prematurely due to stress on the soldering point and poor strain relief. Standard strain relief allows too much movement at critical points, causing premature cable failure. Planet Waves lighting cables have a patent-pending swivel XLR plug that provides extra strain relief and can easily fit in cramped spaces. Each cable plug has a rugged die cast housing with an overmolded polymer that encapsulates the soldering points and a flexible yet durable polymer overmold for unmatched strain relief. The cable itself is shielded to reduce interference and each conductor is insulated for error-free data transmission.
