A Boy Without Toys is the story of a man who was born in pre-World War II Germany. A lack of material possessions and playmates sparked his imagination and ambitions. With his mother's death when he was only nine, Adolf learned early how to make his own happiness. At the age of thirteen, he entered military school and eventually found himself serving in Hitler's army. Repelled by Naziism, he survived the war and emigrated to Canada to avoid military recall in 1955. Later working for Americans at a Laborador Air Force base, he met his future wife and married her in Sharon, Massachusetts, eventually becoming an American citizen himself. A Boy Without Toys is the story of a man who overcame tremendous adversity to show that dreams indeed can come true.
